Immunization for Elementary and Junior High School Students
Free immunizations for elementary and junior high school aged children
will be administered at designated facilities throughout the city
during the spring time. Please refer to the March and April editions
of the English City information bulletin "Shisei Dayori".
Don't forget your immunization vouchers (distributed by the schools),
Mother and Child Health Handbook, Hanko (Inkan), and insurance booklet.
Please make sure the student is healthy when receiving the injections.
After the injections are administered, please have them recorded
in the Boshi Kenko Techo (Mother and Child Health Handbook). Children
who have contracted Rubella in the past can still get inoculated
for Rubella. If the child passes the age of eligibility for the
free immunizations, then you will have to pay for the treatment
on your own. For more information, please call the Kenko Zoshin-Ka
Hoken Shido-Gakari at 39-1246.
